Dubstep? Apa itu?
Dubstep itu… genre musik dance elektronik yang berasal dari daerah selatan Inggris. Dubstep hampir sama dengan genre drum and bass, jungle, 2step, UK Garage, atau grime. Tapi dubstep bass-nya berhamburan di mana, menggetarkan sukma yang terdalam. Bass dubstep seringkali lebih dominan dalam memberikan irama atau rhytm dibandingkan pukulan drum. Tapi tetap, di dubstep, pukulan drum-nya  menggema dalam jiwa, dan kadang-kadang ditambah sedikit vokal. 

Ciri-ciri dubstep?

Seringkali sih, dubstep cuma instrumental aja, tanpa ada vokal di dalamnya. Inti dari dubstep itu: bass! Tempo dari dubstep rata-rata antara 138 bpm sampai 142 bpm, lebih lambat dari genre drum and bass. Banyak dubstep memakai bassdrop, ketika bass tiba-tiba mendadak tinggi nada-nya berubah dari tinggi ke rendah, jadi ibaratnya kayak jatuh. Memang gak semua dubstep memakai bassdrop, tapi hal inilah yang biasanya menjadi kunci dari dubstep.
Selain bass drop, sering kalo lagu yang di mainkan lagu yang populer, DJ dubstep biasanya akan memutar balik piringan rekaman tanpa diangkat, dan mulai lagi lagunya dari awal. Nah, teknik ini dinamakan rewind atau reload.

Cara Menikmati Dubstep?

Nyehehehehe… Siapkan aja speaker dengan subwoofer tingkat dewa (jangan pakai speaker biasa yang bass-nya gak kedengaran). Putar volume maksimal, dan rasakan getar-getar… bass-nya… Jangan lupa, putar pas subuh-subuh (becanda…)
